Sid and Nancy – Blue and Gold Macaws

Nancy 17 year old female Blue and Gold Macaw and Sid 17 year old male Blue and Gold Macaw. Sid and Nancy came into TGF from HSUS from a horrific puppy mill crackdown located in AR, along with their flockmates and 2 senior mares. We don’t know much about the birds’ history or stories, which means they have a clean start when they arrive into our care. They have beautiful feathering. Both are a little shy and have warmed up to new feathered and human friends. In the time that these animals have been with TGF, their resilience has been inspirational. Before, they were starved, filthy, underweight and living in appalling conditions. Now, they have indoor and outdoor housing, freedom to fly when they are ready and abundant healthy meals.
