Cesar and his buddy Harry came to TGF when the original parrot rescue organization that took them in dispersed all of their birds when they shut down. These two boys were part of a group of 14 birds that came into our care in July 2014. Cesar and Harry are like 2 old friends with each other, and they have a lot of stories to share with the other old Amazons when they are outside. These fellows laugh, make conversation-like sounds and don’t move around too much. They enjoying basking in the sun, getting their showers, and a good meal. They don’t ask for much from us humans, and caring for them is really a privilege. If only their Amazon voices could tell us their life histories, we would know how they’ve spent the last two to five decades. We imagine that it would be a bittersweet story.
