Description
Saul prefers to keep to himself and Rio, though he enjoys training opportunities and singing sessions with his caregivers. He also enjoys spending time in an outdoor flight cage with Rio and their flock mates! Saul steps up on a bare hand with people he’s built a trust bank with, but prefers to step up on to a folded towel with newer people. Both Rio and Saul enjoy easy to shred toys like balled up newspaper with treats inside for foraging, phone books, and cardboard! Saul benefits from frequent opportunities for reinforcement from people to build trust, and his caregivers often play free shaping games with him, where they build behaviors based on his natural behaviors he’s already comfortable offering! This helps Saul offer more unique behaviors, while still keeping training on his terms and ensuring he’s comfortable and confident during training sessions.
