Your written report is critical to the long term success of your adoption. We are here to support you and your adopted bird(s) for the long run! Please help us by complying with the terms of your Probationary Adoption Agreement. Failure to provide The Gabriel Foundation with these follow up reports may jeopardize the Permanent Adoption of the bird.

Have you noticed a decreased appetite in your bird? During the first couple days, you may notice that your bird is not eating as much as expected. This is typical for a bird as they transition into a home. Describe what they are eating and what they aren't.*

In what ways have you been interacting with your bird?*

Has your bird vocalized since coming home with you? When, how long, what was the surrounding activity level and reinforcement*

Housing – ease of transitioning bird into cage from carrier, cage size, cage enrichment, cage location, perches, food dishes, etc.*

Did you have any trouble putting your bird to bed for the first night? How many hours of uninterupted sleep did your bird get the first night?*

Has your bird met any other household members or pets in the first 24 hours? Describe how the introductions went.*

Are there any behavioral challenges you need help with? (Undesired vocalization, lunging, biting, fearfulness, etc.) No question is too silly for us. Remember that we are here to help and support you and your bird.*
