Outreach or Event Request

Parrots are beautiful, outgoing and social animals which are some of the reasons people have been fascinated by them for thousands of years. Parrots can be loud, messy and destructive. Yes, ALL parrots talk – but that means that they communicate. Not all parrots use our “words”. Yes, ALL parrots can bite, so it’s our job to learn respectful behavior towards them. We expect that you do the same. Yes, MOST parrots fly. Some of our parrots have their flight feathers trimmed while others are fully flighted. Many of the parrots at The Gabriel Foundation are comfortable around adults and children, but not 100% of the time. Although tame, parrots are still considered wild animals. The safety and well being of our parrots always comes first. The Gabriel Foundation does not provide birds for your entertainment reasons. The Gabriel Foundation provides staff and/or volunteers to handle all birds present. Any interaction between the public and our birds is at the complete discretion of our employees or designated representative(s) and volunteers. Thank you for your interest. Due to the volume of requests we receive, we are unable to provide outreach services free of cost. Once your application is received The Gabriel Foundation will provide you with a program fee cost to provide outreach services for your requested event.
